Hop Warp is a minimalist puzzle-platformer built around one idea: you can teleport, but not as often as you would like. Each level is a single screen. Somewhere in it are stars to collect and an exit to reach, and between you and both sit obstacles that a plain jump will not clear. The game is about working out where to use your limited warps, not about reflexes.

That makes it a change of pace if you came from Doodle Jump. There is no endless climb and no score race against gravity. A session is a string of short rooms that you can solve at your own speed, and a failed attempt costs a few seconds. How to play

The aim in every room is to collect the stars and get to the exit. Your teleport is a limited resource, so a level is closer to a small logic problem than a platforming test. Look at the whole screen before you move, decide where you need to end up, and work backwards to the warp that gets you there.

1. Spend the first few seconds of a level just looking. Find the stars and the exit, then plan the order you will reach them in.
2. Do not use a warp just to see what happens. If a plan goes wrong, press R straight away rather than playing on with fewer warps than you need.
3. Think about which warp each star needs. Sometimes the star that looks easiest is the one that decides how you must start the room.
