Guide two heroes through the Light Temple in Fireboy & Watergirl 2, a co-op puzzle platformer you can play free in your browser.
Fireboy & Watergirl 2 Light Temple is a cooperative puzzle-platformer built around two characters who have to reach the exit of every chamber together. It is the second chapter of the series, set in the Light Temple, where beams of light, mirrors and light-sensitive doors join the buttons, levers and movable blocks you may know from the first game.
A session is a string of short chambers, each one a self-contained riddle. Nothing chases you; the pressure comes from the layout. Fireboy can wade through lava but not water, Watergirl is the opposite, and the green goo hurts both of them, so every jump has to be planned for two bodies at once.
If you came to Doodle Jump for quick, readable platforming, this is the slower, thinking-first cousin: fewer reflex jumps, more standing still and working out who goes where.
The page lists the arrow keys or WASD to move, with the mouse for menus and taps or swipes on a phone. In the classic setup the two characters are split across the keyboard: the arrow keys move Fireboy and WASD moves Watergirl. That makes it a natural two-player game on one keyboard, and it is also playable alone if you are comfortable juggling both hands.
Each chamber has a red exit door for Fireboy and a blue one for Watergirl, and both characters must stand at their doors to finish. Along the way you collect red gems with Fireboy and blue gems with Watergirl, which count toward your rating for the level. Pull levers, press buttons and push blocks to open the way, and use the light mechanics to open doors that will not respond to anything else.
The original Fireboy and Watergirl and Fireboy and Watergirl 4: Crystal Temple use the same two-character idea with different temples and mechanics, so they are the obvious next stops. Ovo 2 is a solo platformer built on precise movement, and Helix Jump is the opposite end of the shelf: one-button reflexes, no puzzle solving.
It suits two people sharing a keyboard, or a relaxed solo session where you want something to think about. It runs in the browser with nothing to install.
On one keyboard, the arrow keys move Fireboy and WASD moves Watergirl. On a phone, use taps and swipes as shown on the page.
Yes, you can control both characters yourself, though it is easier and more fun with a second player sharing the keyboard.
Fireboy can cross lava but not water, Watergirl can cross water but not lava, and green goo is dangerous to both.
Yes. It plays free in your browser on doodlejump.io with no download or account.
