Play Vex 6 free in your browser: guide a stickman through spikes, saws and tricky jumps in fast parkour platformer levels. No download needed.
Vex 6 is the latest entry in the Vex series of stickman parkour platformers. You guide a small stick figure through a run of hazards: spikes, saws, drops and moving obstacles, with the goal of reaching the end of each level in one piece. Levels are short, the pace is quick, and a mistake costs you a few seconds rather than a whole run.
It fits well on a site built around Doodle Jump. Both games reward timing and a calm read of the screen, but where Doodle Jump has you climbing one endless column, Vex 6 gives you distinct stages with a start, a finish and a lot of trial and error in between.
It runs in the browser with nothing to install, so you can open it for a five-minute break or settle in for a long streak of levels.
Move with the arrow keys or WASD, and use the mouse to aim and to pick options in the menus. On a phone or tablet, you tap and swipe instead. Your job in each level is to get across the course without touching anything deadly.
A typical level starts with easy jumps and builds up. Early sections show you a hazard on its own. Later ones combine several, so you have to chain jumps, wall moves and short pauses in one flow. When you fail, you restart close to where you fell, which makes it easy to try a tricky section again straight away.
If you like the precision of Vex 6, try Ovo 2 or OvO game, which are also stick-figure platformers built on tight jumps and quick restarts. Fireboy and Watergirl suits two players who like puzzle-style platforming. Helix Jump is a simpler one-button game for when you want something more relaxed.
Vex 6 is for players who enjoy platformers where you learn by failing and then getting it right. It works for short sessions on a keyboard and is playable on touch devices too.
