One Button Bounce is a one-input puzzle platformer where timing is everything. Play it free in your browser, no download needed.
One Button Bounce is a small puzzle platformer built around a single input. There is no steering and no separate jump and move keys: you get one control, and everything the character does comes from when you press it. That restriction is the whole design, and it makes each screen a timing problem rather than a test of finger gymnastics.
A session is easy to describe and hard to master. You press to make a hop, watch where the bounce carries you, and try again when you land a little short or a little long. Failed attempts are quick to restart, so the game rewards trial and error more than careful planning. It suits a few spare minutes between longer games.
If you came to Doodle Jump for the feeling of reading a gap and committing to a bounce at the right moment, this is a close cousin. The difference is that Doodle Jump lets you steer in the air, while here the timing of one input has to do all of the work.
The page lists arrow keys or WASD, mouse and touch as the general controls, which is the same wording used across many games on the site. Because the game is built around one action, expect a single press, click or tap to be what matters. Click inside the game frame first so it receives your input, then press once to start hopping and see how the first bounce behaves.
Each level asks you to get from the start to the goal without falling or hitting hazards. Work out the rhythm of the bounce first, then decide where to press so the next landing lines up with the platform you want.
For more bouncing, try Bouncy Basketball, which swaps platforms for hoops and adds a second player. Bird Jumper and Hoppenhelm are also jump-based, but with more movement control. If you want a harder precision challenge, OvO and Ovo 2 are fast, momentum-driven platformers where every jump counts.
One Button Bounce runs in the browser with nothing to install, so it works on a laptop, Chromebook or phone. It is best for short sessions and for anyone who likes simple rules with a steep skill curve.
