Auto Ninja is a platformer where you jump, glide and wall-climb past deadly traps to reach each room's portal. Play it free in your browser.
Auto Ninja is a room-by-room platformer built around trap avoidance. Each chamber is a small puzzle of spikes and hazards, and your job is to get a ninja through it to the magic portal on the far side. Rooms are short, so a failed attempt costs a few seconds rather than a whole run.
If you came to Doodle Jump for one-more-try jumping, this is a good next stop. Doodle Jump asks you to keep climbing without stopping. Auto Ninja slows that down and asks you to read the room first: where the danger is, where the ledge is, and when to commit to a jump.
The game runs in the browser with nothing to install, and it works on desktop or with touch controls on a phone.
On a keyboard, move with the arrow keys or WASD. The mouse handles aiming and selecting, which mostly matters in the menus. On a phone you tap and swipe instead.
The game's own description gives the shape of a room. You jump and glide across dangerous chambers, climb up walls, pick up hidden coins, and finish by reaching the portal. Coins are optional, so you can ignore them on a first pass and come back for them once you know the layout.
Ovo 2 and OvO game are the closest neighbours, since both are precision platformers with short rooms and quick restarts. Bird Jumper and Helix Jump are lighter and more reflex-driven, with less route planning. Fireboy and Watergirl also centres on getting through a chamber to an exit, but it is built for two players and leans on puzzles over timing.
It suits short sessions, because a room or two fits into a spare couple of minutes. It also works well on touch screens when a keyboard is not around.
You get through each trap-filled chamber to the magic portal. You jump, glide and climb walls on the way, and you can grab hidden coins if you want.
Use the arrow keys or WASD to move and the mouse to aim and select. On a phone, tap and swipe.
