Fireboy And Watergirl 6 is a co-operative puzzle platformer built around two characters who have to cross each stage together. Fireboy is immune to lava and Watergirl to water, and each is killed by the other's element, so neither can simply run through a level. A stage is a small maze of ledges, buttons, levers and moving platforms, and the goal is to get both characters to their own exit doors.

A round is short and quiet rather than frantic. You spend most of the time working out the order of moves: who steps on the button, who rides the lift it raises, and who can safely cross which pool. How to play

• Before moving, look at where each door is and which hazards sit between the characters and their exits. Most puzzles have only one sensible order.
• If a button only works while held down, one character has to stay on it, so plan which one of you can afford to wait.
• Do not chase every gem on the first attempt. Finish the stage, then replay it for the gems once you know the layout.
• If you play alone, move one character into a safe spot first, then switch and bring the other across. Rushing both at once is how most mistakes happen.
