Tennis Hero — Play Free Online
SportsTennis Hero is a free browser tennis game: move your player, aim your returns and win the rally. Plays instantly on desktop or phone.
Tennis Hero is a browser tennis game where you control a player on court and try to out-rally the opponent on the other side of the net. It sits in the sports corner of the Doodle Jump catalogue, and it suits the same kind of visit: open the page, play a few points, and leave again whenever you like.
If you came to this site for Doodle Jump, the appeal is familiar. The goal is simple to state, the controls are light, and getting better comes from timing and positioning rather than from memorising anything. A tennis point is short, so a single match fits into a quick break.
It runs in the browser with nothing to install and no account, on a laptop, a Chromebook or a phone.
How to play
On a keyboard, move your player with the arrow keys or WASD, and use the mouse to aim and to pick options in the menus. On a phone, you tap and swipe instead. The game was published on Poki.
The basic rhythm of any tennis game applies here. Get your player into position before the ball arrives, make contact, and send it back to a spot your opponent will find awkward. Points go to whoever stops the other side from returning the ball.
Tips
- Move toward the ball early. Arriving late is the most common way to lose a point in a tennis game.
- Aim away from where the opponent is standing, rather than straight back at them.
- Try the keyboard and the mouse together first. If aiming feels clumsy, slow down and place the shot instead of rushing it.
- On a phone, keep your thumbs clear of the area you are tapping so you can see the court.

For another sport with a ball, try Bouncy Basketball, which swaps the racket for a bouncing hoop shot. Helix Jump is a good pick if you like one-button timing, and Ovo 2 is a better fit if you would rather run and jump through platform levels. Doodle Jump itself remains the quickest game to dip into when you only have a minute.
Tennis Hero suits short sessions, and it is easy to hand to a friend on the same keyboard-and-mouse setup for a casual turn.
