KiX Dream Soccer — Play Free Online

KiX Dream Soccer is a football game that runs straight in the browser, with nothing to install and no account to make. You steer a player around the pitch, line up your shots with the mouse, and try to put the ball in the other team's net before the clock runs out. It is a sports game, so the pace is built around short matches rather than long campaigns.

If you came to Doodle Jump for quick, score-driven sessions, this is a natural change of pace. Doodle Jump has you bouncing upward with one hand on the keyboard. A football match asks for a little more: you move and aim at the same time, and you have to read what the defenders are doing instead of just dodging platforms. A single game fits into a few spare minutes, and you can leave whenever you like.

How to play

Movement uses the arrow keys or WASD, so pick whichever hand position feels natural. The mouse handles aiming and selecting, which means it also drives the menus before the match starts. On a phone or tablet the same actions become taps and swipes, so no keyboard is needed.

A match works the way most simple football games do. You get the ball into a good position, aim, and shoot. If you do not have the ball, you move to cut off the opposing player or get back in front of your own goal. Take a minute at the start to see how your player responds. Working out how much a short press of the keys moves you tells you more than any tip can.

Tips

• Spend the opening moments getting used to how the player turns and accelerates before you try for a shot.
• Aim with the mouse before you commit. A shot you have lined up usually does better than a rushed one.
• If you are playing on a keyboard, rest one hand on WASD and keep the other on the mouse, so you are never reaching for the arrow keys mid-play.
• Use the fullscreen button under the game for a bigger pitch. If the game stalls, reloading the page restarts it cleanly.

Similar games on Doodle Jump

Bouncy Basketball is the closest match on this site for sports. It also uses simple controls and quick rounds, but it has you bouncing a ball to score on a hoop instead of running a pitch. Helix Jump keeps the same pick-up-and-play feel, with one-button timing instead of aiming. If you want to play with a friend on the same keyboard, Fireboy and Watergirl is built for two players working together.

KiX Dream Soccer suits anyone who wants a sports break between longer sessions. It works on a desktop with a keyboard and mouse, and it also works by touch on a phone.
