Tap Tricks is a one-button skateboarding arcade game: hold, time your release and land tricks. Play it free in your browser on any device.
Tap Tricks is a one-button skateboarding game. There are no menus of tricks to memorise and no joystick to wrestle with: you hold and tap, and the timing of that press decides whether your skater launches a clean figure or wipes out. Rounds are quick, the goal is a better score than last time, and that is the whole hook.
It suits anyone who likes Doodle Jump for the same reason: a single simple input, instant restarts and a high score that always feels one attempt away. Where Doodle Jump has you steering sideways while you climb, Tap Tricks asks you to read rhythm instead. It is a skill game about when you press, not where you aim.
The game was made by Gesinimo Games and runs in the browser with nothing to install, on desktop, phone or tablet.
The game is driven by pressing and tapping the screen or mouse button. Hold to keep your jump going, then release at the right moment to launch a trick. On a phone you simply touch the screen; on a computer a mouse click does the same job. Despite what some catalogue listings say about arrow keys or WASD, the intended control is hold and tap.
A run is a loop of the same decision: build the jump, choose your release, land it. Mistimed releases cost you the trick, so the early minutes are about learning how long the hold needs to be.
If you like one-input scoring games, try Bouncy Basketball, which swaps timing for bounce physics and a hoop to hit. Bird Jumper is closer to the headline game, with another vertical hop-and-climb loop. Helix Jump is a good pick when you want a different kind of timing challenge, guiding a ball down a tower.
Hold and tap the screen (or click the mouse) to build your jump and release it at the right moment to launch a trick.
