Soccer Masters Euro 2020 — Play Free Online

Soccer Masters Euro 2020 is a browser football game themed around the 2020 European championship. It sits in the sports corner of Doodle Jump's catalogue, a long way from the one-thumb climbing the site is named for, but it suits the same kind of visit: open the page, press Play and be in a match within a few seconds, with nothing to install.

If you came to the site for Doodle Jump itself, think of this as a change of tempo. Doodle Jump is one endless vertical run; a football game is built around short matches with a clear result, so it fits a quick break well.

How to play

Movement uses the arrow keys or WASD, and the mouse handles aiming and selecting, including menu choices such as picking a team or starting a match. On a phone or tablet the same actions are done by tapping and swiping on the screen.

The controls are the same as in most simple browser sports games. Move your player into position with the keyboard, then use the mouse to aim the action you want to take. Press Play above and the game loads right in the frame on this page.

Tips

• Spend the first minute in any new sports game learning how aiming responds to the mouse, before you rely on it in a close match.
• If the game offers a choice of teams, pick one and stay with it for a few matches so you learn its feel.
• On a laptop trackpad, a mouse is noticeably more precise for aiming than the trackpad.
• On a phone, play in landscape if the game allows it, so your thumbs do not cover the pitch.

For another sporty pick, Bouncy Basketball is a good next stop, with physics-driven shooting rather than football. Helix Jump swaps matches for a fast one-button descent, and Fireboy and Watergirl is the one to choose if you want a puzzle that two people can play on one keyboard.

Soccer Masters Euro 2020 suits short sessions on a desktop or phone, and it needs no account or sign-up, so you can play for five minutes and leave.
