Stud Rider is a physics-based motorcycle game. You ride a blue bike over dirt hills and ramps, and the only thing you manage is throttle and balance. There is no steering in the usual racing sense. You decide how hard to accelerate and how far the bike leans while it is in the air or on a slope.

A run is short and easy to repeat. You aim to reach the end of the course, pick up fuel along the way, and land stunts without tipping over. If you play Doodle Jump for quick one-more-try sessions, this works the same way: each crash teaches you a bit about momentum, and a restart takes a second.

It loads in the browser with nothing to install. It supports keyboard and touch controls.

How to play

Press the up arrow to accelerate, and use the left and right arrows to lean the bike back and forth. On a phone or tablet, on-screen buttons at the bottom of the screen do the same job. Holding the throttle constantly is rarely the best choice. Too much power on a steep climb flips the bike backwards, and too little leaves you stuck.

Fuel is a resource on the course, so a good run is as much about picking up fuel as about speed. A crash ends the attempt, and you start the course again.

Tips

Ease off the throttle just before a ramp's edge. Landing flat matters more than leaving fast.
Use the lean keys in the air to level the bike before touchdown, then get back on the throttle once both wheels are down.
On steep climbs, give short bursts of power rather than holding the key down, so the front wheel doesn't lift too far.
Pick up the fuel even when it takes you off your line. Running dry in the middle of a hill ends a run that was going well.
