Soccer REAL — Play Free Online

Soccer REAL is a football game that runs straight in the browser, with nothing to install. It is listed under Sports on Doodle Jump, and it is a different kind of break from the vertical jumping the site is known for: instead of climbing as high as you can, you are trying to win a match.

The page is built from the information we have: it is a soccer title in the sports category, published through Poki, and it uses a simple control scheme that works on both keyboard and touch screens. We have not tried to list modes, teams or match lengths, because we would rather say less than describe features that may not be there.

How to play

On a computer, move with the arrow keys or WASD, and use the mouse to aim and to pick options on the menus. On a phone or tablet, tap and swipe instead. Start by finding out how your player responds to movement before you attempt anything ambitious near the goal.

A short match fits well into a spare few minutes, and you can leave and come back without setting anything up. Fullscreen, using the button under the game, gives you a larger pitch to read.

Tips

• Spend the opening moments getting used to the controls rather than chasing the ball at full speed.
• Aim deliberately with the mouse; a calm, accurate attempt usually beats a rushed one.
• If the game stalls, reload the page and it will start fresh.
• On a touch screen, give yourself room for your thumbs so swipes are not cut off by the edge of the screen.

If you want a ball game with a different feel, Bouncy Basketball is a sports title on the same site where physics and timing decide each point. For something calmer than a match, Doodle Jump itself is the one-button-feeling classic, and Helix Jump is a quick one-handed arcade game built around a falling ball.

Soccer REAL suits people who want a familiar sport in a short browser session, whether on a laptop with a mouse or on a phone.
