Curve Ball 3D is a 3D paddle-and-ball duel where you curve returns past an opponent. Play it free in your browser, with mouse, keyboard or touch.
Curve Ball 3D is a 3D take on the old paddle-and-ball duel. Instead of a flat table, you look down a long corridor: your paddle sits in the foreground, an opponent's paddle waits at the far end, and a glowing ball travels back and forth between you. Miss it and the other side scores; get it past the opponent and you do.
The twist is in the name. The ball does not have to travel in a straight line. How you move the paddle at the moment of contact puts spin on it, so it bends through the corridor and arrives somewhere the opponent did not expect. Rounds are quick, which makes it a good break between longer sessions.
It sits a little apart from the rest of the catalogue on Doodle Jump. Where the jumpers and runners here are about climbing or dodging, this one is about reading a ball's flight and placing a return, and it runs in the browser with nothing to install.
Move with the arrow keys or WASD, or use the mouse to steer the paddle and aim. On a phone or tablet, tap and swipe instead. The aim is to keep the ball in play on your side and return it so the opponent cannot reach it.
Watch the ball as it grows larger on its way toward you, line the paddle up early, and meet it rather than chasing it at the last moment. Moving the paddle as you hit is what bends the return.
If you want something else that rewards timing, Bouncy Basketball is a physics-driven sports game with a very different feel. Helix Jump asks you to guide a ball down a tower, and Ovo 2 is a precise platformer. Doodle Jump itself remains the one-button vertical climb the site is named for.
Curve Ball 3D suits short sessions on either a keyboard and mouse or a touchscreen.
Use the arrow keys or WASD to move, and the mouse to aim and select. On a phone, tap and swipe.
