Instead of guiding an army of good guys, your objective is to build defensive fortifications that eliminate thieves, warriors, champions, and ninjas before they can steal your gems and carry them off the map.

Sessions require deliberate positioning, careful resource management, and quick tactical adjustments when fast runners slip past your perimeter. Each stage presents fixed paths through varying terrain types, challenging you to balance long-range firepower, rapid strikes, and mana-fueled spells to keep every jewel safely in your cave.

How to play

Defending your hoard centers on three tower types that correspond to distinct terrain tiles:

• Orc Dens must be built on high grass tiles to deliver rapid arrow fire at incoming scouts.
• Undead Crypts sit on snow or cursed ground to fire chilling projectiles that slow enemy movement.
• Demon Temples occupy rock or lava ground to launch scorching blasts that deal heavy continuous damage.

Select towers from the bottom toolbar using your mouse and place them onto eligible tiles along the enemy path. Use your accumulated mana to cast global spells, such as felling trees to open new build plots or unleashing meteors onto crowded choke points. If a hero grabs a gem, focus your fire on them immediately; dropped gems remain on the path and can either be retrieved by other enemies or slowly returned to the cave.

Tactical tips

• Control choke points: Place slowing Crypts just ahead of high-damage Temples so heavy units linger within your attack radius as long as possible.
• Invest in the talent tree: Spend skill points earned from completed missions to boost starting gold, reduce spell cooldowns, and unlock tier-three tower upgrades.
• Clear trees early: Use spare mana between intense waves to clear forested tiles, opening prime placement spots along tight bends.
• Maintain a perfect hoard: Finishing a level without losing a single gem earns a higher rank and bonus experience points.
