Zombie Tsunami is an endless runner where you lead a growing zombie horde, catch humans and dodge hazards. Play it free in your browser, no download.
Zombie Tsunami turns the usual apocalypse around: you are not the survivor, you are the horde. A pack of zombies runs across the screen on its own, and your job is to keep it alive, keep it moving and make it bigger by snatching up every panicking human in its path. Nothing stops the run except a mistake, so a session is a single flowing dash that ends when the crowd is gone.
The game started as a mobile hit from the French studio Mobigame, and the browser version keeps its simple, readable style: bright cartoon scenery, a lopsided mob of undead, and obstacles you can see coming. It fits this site well if you like Doodle Jump. Both games are about one more attempt, a score you want to beat and a loop you grasp in seconds.
Because the running is automatic, the whole game is about decisions. Which lane do you take, when do you jump, and is that group of people worth a risky detour?
The page lists arrow keys or WASD for movement, with the mouse for menus, and tap or swipe on a phone. You do not steer the horde in the usual sense. It runs forward by itself, and your input handles the jump and small position changes so that the crowd clears gaps, ledges and hazards.
The goal is to collect humans along the route. Each one you catch joins the mob, so the group grows as the run goes on. Hazards cost you members, and if the crowd shrinks to nothing the run is over. Coins and other pickups feed the upgrade and unlock system between runs, so even a short attempt moves you forward.
Bird Jumper and Hoppenhelm are the closest in spirit, with fast reflex-driven movement and a score that restarts each time. Helix Jump is calmer and about careful timing on a tower. Fireboy and Watergirl swaps the runner for puzzle-solving with a partner. Zombie Tsunami sits between them: relaxed to start, but demanding once the pace picks up.
It runs in the browser with nothing to install, so it suits a five-minute break, on a keyboard or a touch screen.
The page lists arrow keys or WASD, with the mouse for menus, and tap or swipe on a phone. The horde runs on its own, so your input is mainly for jumping and positioning.
Keep your horde running as long as you can, catching humans to grow it and avoiding hazards that thin it out. The run ends when no zombies are left.
Yes. It plays free in your browser on doodlejump.io, with no download or account.
It is an HTML5 build, so it runs in a modern browser, with touch input on phones and tablets.
