Super Oliver World is a side-scrolling platformer in which a small hero named Oliver runs, jumps and fights his way through a parallel world full of traps and hostile creatures. Along the way you smash blocks to uncover coins and power-ups, so every level is part obstacle course and part treasure hunt. It runs in the browser with nothing to install.

It is a different kind of climb from the one Doodle Jump is known for. Instead of bouncing endlessly upward, you move left to right through stages, and a run is decided by timing: when to jump a gap, when to stomp an enemy, and which blocks are worth stopping to break.

How to play

Tips

• Hold the jump key longer for a higher, farther leap and tap it for a short hop. Learning the difference matters most on narrow platforms.
• Break blocks whenever you safely can. The power-ups inside are the biggest help against later enemies.
• Walk into new screens rather than sprinting. Traps in this kind of game tend to sit just past a blind jump.
• Use shooting to clear enemies from a distance when you have the chance, rather than risking a stomp that misses.
