Heroes League — Play Free Online
Action & ShootingHeroes League is a pixel-art action RPG: battle enemies, collect shields and upgrade your hero level by level. Play free in your browser.
Heroes League is a pixel-art action RPG that runs in the browser. You steer a hero, a panda in the version Poki lists, through a series of levels, fighting the enemies in each one and picking up rewards and shields on the way. Between fights you spend what you have collected on upgrades, so the character you take into level six is noticeably tougher than the one you started with.
It is a different kind of page from most of the line-up on Doodle Jump. Nothing here is about climbing forever on a single mistake-free run. Heroes League is about building a character up over a handful of short fights, which makes it a good change of pace if you have spent a while bouncing between platforms and want something with a sense of progression.
It loads in this page with nothing to install, and it is built to work on both keyboard and touch screens.
How to play
On a computer, move with the arrow keys or WASD and use the mouse to aim and to pick options in menus. On a phone or tablet, tap and swipe instead.
A level is a fight: you move around the arena, aim at the enemies and clear them out while avoiding their attacks. Pick up the rewards and shields that appear, then use the upgrade options to strengthen your hero before the next level. The goal is to keep pushing through levels and see how far your build can go.
Tips
- Keep moving. Standing still while aiming is the quickest way to lose health in an action game with this much on screen.
- Grab shields when you see them rather than saving them for later; a shield only helps if you are carrying it when the hit lands.
- Spend upgrades on a consistent plan instead of spreading them thinly, and check the menu text before you confirm a choice.
- If a level keeps beating you, replay it and watch the enemy patterns before changing your build.

If you want a fight-and-progress feel but with a platform twist, Day D Tower Rush and Bloons Tower Defense 2 lean on strategy and placement rather than direct aiming. For pure reflex play, Ovo 2 and Helix Jump are the opposite end: no upgrades, just timing. Fireboy and Watergirl suits two players sharing a keyboard if you want to play with a friend.
Heroes League suits short sessions of a few levels at a time, on a laptop with a mouse or on a phone with a thumb.
