Carnado Boat Racing — Play Free Online

Carnado Boat Racing is a racing game on water. You steer a boat around a course and try to beat the clock or the other boats, using nothing but a keyboard or your fingers. It loads in the browser with nothing to install, so a race is a few clicks away.

It sits a long way from the vertical hopping Doodle Jump is known for, but it shares the same appeal: a simple goal, instant restarts and a run that is over in a few minutes. If you come to this site for quick score-chasing sessions, a race you can retry straight away fits the same habit.

How to play

Move with the arrow keys or WASD. The mouse is used to aim and to pick options in the menus. On a phone or tablet you tap and swipe instead. The controls are the standard set for browser racers, so there is little to learn before your first race.

A round is simple. Pick a boat or a level if the game offers a choice, get out in front and keep the boat pointed along the course. Every wall you clip or slow patch you drift into costs time, and time is what the finish is judged on.

Tips

• Do an easy first run just to see the layout of the course. Knowing where the turns are matters more than raw speed.
• Make small steering corrections rather than holding a direction. Large swings bleed speed and put you off line.
• If the game stalls or the controls stop responding, reload the page. It restarts cleanly.
• Use the fullscreen button under the game for a larger view of the course ahead.

For another quick, replayable run, try Helix Jump, which is about timing a descent rather than steering. Ovo 2 and OvO game are precision platformers where each attempt is short and the challenge is learning the route. Bouncy Basketball is a good pick if you want something lighter that two people can share.

Carnado Boat Racing suits short sessions on a keyboard or a touch screen, and it is easy to dip into for one race between longer games.
