Bubble Shooter Classic — Play Free Online

Action & Shooting

Bubble Shooter Classic is a free browser puzzle: aim, bounce shots off the walls and match three or more colours to clear the board.

Bubble Shooter Classic is the familiar bubble-popping puzzle in a browser tab. A cluster of coloured bubbles hangs at the top of the screen, and you fire single bubbles up from a launcher at the bottom. Land a shot so that three or more of the same colour touch, and that group pops. Clear the cluster before it creeps down to your launcher and the round is yours.

It is a calm, thinking-while-you-aim kind of game, which makes it a change of pace on a site built around Doodle Jump. Doodle Jump is about constant motion and quick reflexes; here nothing falls on you while you line up a shot, so you can take a breath between launches and plan two or three moves ahead. It loads in the page with nothing to install, and a round fits into a couple of minutes.

How to play

The game is mouse-driven. Move the pointer to swing the aim line, then click to fire the bubble that is loaded. On a phone or tablet, tap or swipe where you want the shot to go. The arrow keys or WASD are listed as movement controls for this build, but aiming and selecting with the mouse or your finger is the part that matters.

A round goes like this: look at the colours along the bottom edge of the cluster, check the colour of the bubble you are holding, and find a spot where it joins bubbles of the same colour. Popping a group also drops any bubbles that were hanging only from it, which is where the big clears come from.

Tips

  • Use the walls. Aim so the bubble bounces off the side and lands behind a blocking bubble, and you can reach colours that a straight shot cannot.
  • Go for the bubbles that hold things up. Cutting the link to a large hanging group clears it all at once, which beats popping groups of three one by one.
  • Do not chase the colour you are holding. If there is no good place for it, put it somewhere harmless and keep the next shot in mind instead.
  • Watch the colour count. When only a few colours remain, the board is easier to read and chain clears get simpler.

If you want something with more speed, Doodle Jump itself and Helix Jump are about timing and survival rather than aiming. Bloons Tower Defense 2 is another game where popping things is the point, but there you plan a defence rather than take single shots. Fireboy and Watergirl suits a slower, puzzle-minded session too, with two characters to guide through each level.

Bubble Shooter Classic suits short breaks, one-handed play on a phone, and anyone who likes a puzzle that rewards patience over reflexes.
