Sticker Album is a calm puzzle game about decorating the pages of a book. Each page has a picture with empty spots, and a set of cute stickers waiting to be placed. Your job is to put every piece where it belongs until the page is complete, then move on until the whole album is filled.

There is no timer pressure and no enemy to dodge, which makes it a very different pick from the rest of the Doodle Jump catalogue. If you came for Doodle Jump itself and its constant climbing, this is the opposite pace: a few quiet minutes of looking closely at a picture and working out what fits where. How to play

Pick up a sticker, hold it, and drag it across the page. Release to drop it. If the sticker sits in the right spot, it stays; otherwise it does not lock in and you try again. On a touchscreen you do the same thing with your finger: press, drag, lift. The game is built around the mouse or touch, so the keyboard is not the main way to play even though the listing mentions arrow keys.

The puzzle is in reading the picture. Look at the shapes, colours and edges of the empty areas and compare them with the stickers you have. Work out which pieces are unmistakable first, and the remaining ones become easier because there are fewer places left for them to go.

Tips

• Start with the stickers that have an obvious home, such as a distinctive shape or a colour that only appears in one area.
• Do not guess at random. The game offers hints for when you are stuck, so use one on a stubborn piece rather than trying every spot.
• Check the surroundings of a gap. Lines and patterns that run through a sticker should continue into the neighbouring picture.
