Soccer Legends 2021 — Play Free Online

Soccer Legends 2021 is a quick football match that runs right in the browser tab. You steer a player around the pitch, chase the ball, and try to get it past the other side's keeper before the clock runs out. Matches are short, so one game fits into a few spare minutes, and the result is usually decided by who positions better rather than who mashes buttons faster.

It is a long way from the vertical climbing of Doodle Jump, but the appeal is similar: a simple input, an instant restart, and the urge to beat your last attempt. If you drift over from the jumper games on this site and want something with a scoreboard and an opponent, this is a natural change of pace.

How to play

Move with the arrow keys or WASD. The mouse is used to aim and to pick options in the menus. On a phone or tablet, you tap and swipe instead, so no keyboard is needed.

A round comes down to three things: get to the ball first, control it, then aim your shot at the goal. Starting a match is a matter of choosing from the menu, and after the final whistle you can go straight into another one.

Tips

• Stay between the ball and your own goal when the other side is attacking, instead of chasing it across the pitch.
• Take a moment to line up the mouse before you shoot. A rushed shot from far out is rarely worth it.
• If the keyboard feels cramped, try the other layout. Arrow keys and WASD do the same job, so use whichever is more comfortable.
• On a touch screen, short deliberate swipes tend to be easier to control than long frantic ones.

Bouncy Basketball is the closest relative on the site, another sports game built on short, score-driven rounds, though it swaps the football pitch for physics-driven hoops. Helix Jump and Bird Jumper keep to the jumping theme and play solo, with no opponent to beat. Fireboy and Watergirl is a good pick if you would rather solve puzzles with a friend than score goals.

Soccer Legends 2021 suits quick breaks, and it works on a laptop, a Chromebook or a phone. Your progress is stored in the browser, so you can return to it on the same device.
