Eagle Ride is a free browser game where you steer an eagle through a forest, dodge trees and pick from three modes to chase a high score.
Eagle Ride puts you on the back of an eagle flying through a forest, and the whole game is staying alive. Trees and pillars rise in your path, you steer left and right to slip between them, and one touch ends the run. The world is low-poly and clean, so obstacles are easy to read even at speed.
It was made by Aron Sommer, who is also behind Supergun and Angry Zombie, and it is a pure score-chaser. There is no story and no upgrade tree; you play a run, see how far you got, and immediately want another go. That makes it a natural fit for anyone on Doodle Jump who likes the "just one more try" rhythm of chasing a height or distance record.
It runs in the browser with nothing to install, and a typical run lasts from a few seconds to a couple of minutes depending on how well you read the trees ahead.
Steering is simple: the left arrow banks the eagle left and the right arrow banks it right. On a phone you tap or swipe to steer instead. The eagle keeps flying forward on its own, so you never need to speed up or slow down; all your decisions are about which gap to take next.
The game offers three modes. Classic is the standard forest run. Crazy adds bouncing balls to the obstacles, so you have to watch for things that move rather than only for fixed trees. Hardcore is the toughest setting and is best saved for after you are comfortable with the basics.
If you like dodging against a rising score, Bird Jumper is another bird-themed game where you hop between obstacles instead of steering through them. Helix Jump swaps the forest for a tower where timing is everything, and Doodle Jump itself is the vertical-climb original that this site is built around. Eagle Ride is the one to pick when you want a quick, left-and-right reflex test.
Use the left and right arrow keys to steer the eagle. On a phone or tablet you tap or swipe to steer.
There are three: Classic, Crazy (which adds bouncing balls) and Hardcore, the hardest setting.
Eagle Ride was created by Aron Sommer, who also made Supergun and Angry Zombie.
